Self-Care can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. For example, I love to go to the spa and get massages regularly because It has so many healing benefits but the most important thing that I do continuously is eat clean! Its so important for you to not only take care of yourself on the outside but on the inside! I get asked often "what do you usually eat?" or "how often are you in the gym?" Honestly I only go to the gym 3 days a week but it's the eating that keeps me in shape and healthy which is why I'm going to share with you my go to Publix grocery list!! Hopefully this inspires someone to eat a little cleaner this week! Its not to late to get in shape for hot girl summer 2020 so with that being said ..
My Publix go-to grocery list :
1 dozen eggs-get free range chickens eat bugs not grass or grain-The yolks of free range chicken compared to factory raised are definitely different. The yolks of free range eggs are much deeper in color and contain more carotenes than factory raise.
4.5 pounds of chicken-meal prepping for two-He eats more than I do, but we trim the fat before we cook it.
1 pound of lean ground turkey- I prefer the 99% fat free for taste ( I don't really like fatty meats)
1.25 pound of lean ground beef- 93% or 90% is preferred, cooked and drained!
1 box of spinach- easy for snacking or putting into a smoothie
1 box of jasmine white rice- jasmine is a personal preference, most rice is the same
1 full bag of bell peppers- I typically will chop these up into bite size pieces, you can eat a ton and barely take in any calories!
3-4 bags of frozen broccoli- another personal preference for vegetable, not very starchy and has lots of micro nutrients
1 bag (12 count) of low-fat cheese sticks- one stick is 8g of protein!
1-2 packs of mini carrots- another nice snack with good vitamins
1 bag of potatoes- starch I typically have with dinner
1 bag of tangerine oranges- a sweet snack with vitamins
2 cans of beans (one black, one kidney)
1 can of diced tomatoes
That's just about everything my husband and I get every Sunday and then we meal prep. Now I know that most of the items on my list are healthy but I like to think to myself that if I'm eating healthier 80 percent of the time, the other 20 percent can be pretty relaxed.
Anyways I wanted to share with you my personal grocery list in hopes that maybe it will inspire people to eat just a bit healthier and focus on self-care on the inside.
